McKay Gordon (they/them) (CCEP, AAC) is a somatic practitioner and group facilitator based in Seattle, WA. McKay experiences the body as a site of wisdom & transformation. Trauma lives in the body. So does joy, awe, oppression, and the stories of our lives. McKay’s work attunes you toward processing emotions stored in the body, to engage your body’s innate genius as a pathway to healing.
McKay is a graduate of Yale University. They studied Somatic Psychotherapy at Naropa University, and hold certifications in Somatic Attachment Therapy from EmbodyLab and The Evolutionary Power Insititute. McKay’s work is rooted in rigorous, trauma-informed care & a systems-based approach to body liberation.
An artist & activist, McKay founded Motion As Potion, a non-profit that brings movement and dance to diverse communities. McKay works as a program therapist & group facilitator in clinical mental health spaces; advocates for Health At Every Size®; and works to queer somatic & healing cultures.
